Prior to joining AnaCap, he was with Goldman Sachs in the Financial Institutions Group in Europe, where he focused on advising clients and executing transactions in insurance, retail banking, consumer finance and asset management.
Prior to Goldman Sachs, he was a Senior Manager Special Projects doing business development at Accretive Health, a start-up company in Chicago focused on business process outsourcing to healthcare providers/hospitals.
He started his career in the Benelux working as a management consultant at Bain & Company for 3 years.
Mr. Proost graduated magna cum laude as a Master in Commercial Engineering and Finance from the Catholic University Leuven, Belgium.
He also holds an MBA, magna cum laude, from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
Mr. Proost is an Honorary Fellow from the Belgian-American Educational Foundation (BAEF) and an Ambassadorial Scholar from the Rotary Foundation.
He was also offered a Fulbright Scholarship.
He speaks Dutch, French, and English.
