Aki Taha

Mr. Taha joined Greylock in 2009.
He brings a wealth of experience in building world-class teams for technology companies, and broad HR expertise in talent and development programs.
Prior to joining Greylock, he spent four years at Google, where he held a variety of human resources roles.
Most recently, he was a senior human resources manager, providing HR support to a global, 700-employee organization, and running talent management, training, development, and compensation programs for the group.
Fluent in Spanish and Mandarin Chinese, Mr. Taha led recruiting for the international staffing team from Mountain View and helped open and build Google’s offices in the Asia Pacific and Latin America regions.
He moved to Beijing and led staffing for the Greater China region, where he was instrumental in expanding the employee ranks to 500 people in two years.
Previously, Mr. Taha was the human resources and finance manager for Doctors Without Borders in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
He managed all human resources issues for the non-profit’s four medical sites in that country as well as their budgets and project accounting.
Earlier, he was a recruiting manager at Otec, a San Francisco-based recruitment firm that represented the offline operations of Hotjobs.com.
Prior to that he worked in marketing at Trilogy Software in Austin, Texas.
Mr. Taha was born in Nigeria and grew up in New York.
He graduated from Brown University, where he studied Economics and International Relations.
