Overbeck (b.
1965) has been a partner with the EquiVest II Fund since 2007.
Prior to this engagement he was managing partner of European Capital GmbH, director of Arques Industries AG and chairman of the board at Leoniflex S.A.
From 2000 to 2001 he was member of the board at conject AG, the leading software company in the real estate lifecycle management segment.
From 1994 to 2000 he was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, Munich, and a partner at Mercer Management Consulting, Munich.
He managed various pan-European projects in the building supply, logistics, automotive supply and health care industries.
He earned his doctorate "summa cum laude" in physics from the Max-Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry, Göttingen.
Simultaneous to his dissertation he set up his first company, Nanofilm Technologie GmbH developing and producing measurement equipment for the nanotechnology.
