He is a Senior Advisor to the Board of Directors of Alcoa and previously served as a Director of Alcoa, Alcatel-Lucent, AT&T, Avaya, CBS, Chase Manhattan, Johnson & Johnson, Lucent and The New York Times.
He is a former member of The Business Council and the Business Roundtable.
He is a trustee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Ford Foundation and a former trustee of Yale University and The Rockefeller Foundation.
Mr. Schacht graduated from Yale University and earned an M.B.A.
from Harvard Business School.
