Galvin Chia

Mr. Galvin Chia is an Emerging Markets Strategist at NatWest Markets Plc.
He is focusing on markets in the CEEMEA region as well as on cross-EM macroeconomic themes.
Prior to banking, he conducted research on the political economy of China’s reform at the Fung Global Institute, an independent think-tank in Hong Kong.
There, he was also personal research assistant to Liu Mingkang, China’s former chief banking regulator, and presented research to senior members of the public and private sectors.
He has undergraduate majors in politics, philosophy and economics from the Australian National University, and a MPhil in Development Studies (with a focus on political economy and financial markets) from the University of Cambridge.
