MPT Sweden AB engages in the production of metal powders and crushed metals. Its products include XHC Ferrochrome, HC Ferrochrome, MC Ferrochrome, LC Ferrochrome, Ferromolybdenum, Ferrovanadium, Chromium metal, Nitrided Ferrochrome, and Manganese metal. The company was founded in 1950 and is headquartered in Ekshärad, Sweden.

MPT is one of the leading suppliers in Europe of metal powders for the welding industry, where the powders are used both for welding electrodes and wire. Other significant categories of clients are found in the coating and molding industries and in manufacturing of filler wire. MPT is specialized in production of powders and its sthrengths lie in high flexibility and the ability to 'tailormake' powders according to customer requirements. The powder production started in the 1940´s, at that time as a separate line at Ferrolegeringar Trollhätteverken AB. The production remained, with different owners, in Trollhättan until 1999 when the manufacturing equipment was moved to premesis in Ekshärad.
