Joss Smith

Mr. Joss Smith is a Director & Fund Manager at Absolute Return Investment Advisers (ARIA) Ltd.
He worked for the Inland Revenue for three years before entering the investment business in 1978, joining Buckmaster & Moore, a London stock broking firm now subsumed into Credit Suisse Asset Management.
In 1980, Mr. Smith joined Dominion Securities in London.
Now part of the Royal Bank of Canada group, it was here that he met Barry Conway and developed his interest in technical analysis under the tutelage of Ian Notley.
He left RBC Dominion in 1999 to set up Richmond Fund Advisers (RFA) with Barry Conway.
He served as the Chief Executive Officer of RFA, responsible for marketing and analysis as well as undertaking the statutory oversight and supervision functions for the firm.
Mr. Smith is a graduate in Medieval and Modern History from King's College London,
