He received his Bachelor's degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Finance at Brigham Young University, graduating magna cum laude.
He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder and a Certified Financial Planner professional.
He is a member of the CFA Society of Salt Lake and is the Executive Secretary of the Salt Lake Chapter of the BYU Management Society.
