Paul R. Morin

Mr. Paul R.
Morin is a Consultant at Witherspoon Asset Management LLC.
He was previously employed as a Principal by Chief Operating Officer by FBS Management, Inc., Co-Chief Investment Officer by Aspen Partners Ltd., and a Principal by Refco, Inc. He also served as a Director of Research at 6800 Capital LLC.
Mr. Morin began his career in the managed futures industry in 1989 at Commodities Corporation, where he was responsible for manager due diligence, evaluation and monitoring, as well as for carrying out portfolio design research until 1997.
While part of the research team at CC he completed empirical studies on the persistence of returns among managed futures programs, the impact of multi-manager portfolio rebalancing frequency, and evaluation of manager performance based stop-loss rules.
Since then, he has held executive level asset management and research positions with leading alternative industry firms, having responsibility for sourcing managed futures managers, performing and overseeing the due diligence process as well as managing multi-manager funds.
Over the last four years, he was also involved in the design and launch of two 40 Act managed futures products In all, Mr. Morin has over 20 years experience evaluating and selecting managed futures managers for multi-advisor fund portfolios.
Mr. Morin earned a B.S.
in finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a M.B.A.
from Rider University, for which he was awarded membership into the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.
