The firm was founded in 2004 and as Everbright Pramerica Fund Management Co., Ltd. Headquartered in Shanghai, Everbright PGIM manages mutual funds distributed to Chinese retail investors through banks and brokerage firms.

Nuode Asset Management Co., Ltd. (Nuode AM) is the fund management subsidiary of Tsinghua Holdings Co., Ltd., ultimately held by the Chinese Ministry of Education. Formerly known as Lord Abbett China Asset Management Co. Ltd., the firm was founded in 2006 as a joint venture between Lord Abbett & Co. LLC, Changjiang Securities Co. Ltd. and Tsinghua Holdings Co. They subsequently changed their name to Nuode Fund Management Co. Ltd. Headquartered in Shanghai, Nuode AM manages mutual funds for individual and institutional investors.
