ERSA explores opportunities in the Brazilian market of electric energy generation from renewable sources by developing, building and operating a portfolio of small (up to 30MW) and medium-sized (up to 200 MW) power plants, such as Small Hydropower Plants (SHPs), Wind Farms and Biomass-fired Power Plants. Currently, the Company's project portfolio totals 473.0 MW, comprising 11 operational SHPs (154.5 MW), 1 SHP (20.0 MW) and 4 wind farms (78.2 MW) under construction, and 5 SHP projects (91.5 MW) and two wind farm projects (128.8 MW) in preparation for construction. With its current portfolio, ERSA already has 147.5 MW average of Contracted Energy. Additionally, ERSA has approximately 1,200 MW under development and around 2,000 MW under prospection. ERSA believes it is in a privileged position to take advantage of the growth opportunities in Brazil's electric energy sector, since it is a funded company and has highly qualified shareholders with a recognized investment track record. Since its foundation, ERSA has followed an expansion strategy based on the acquisition of projects in different stages by employing financial and technical assessment methods that seek to maximize value creation for its shareholders. The Company has more than 170 employees with broad experience in optimizing engineering projects, conducting environmental licensing processes and contracting and managing agreements with suppliers and services providers for the installation of power generation projects.
