Steve Salom

Steve is a Partner and co-Head of Venture Capital at ACE & Company, leading the firm’s VC team, strategy, and investments.
He is a startup and scale-up operator with 20 years of experience at small to large-size organizations.
During the last two years, Steve has been an advisor to investors, startups, scale-ups, and Tech executives.
He was also an Operating Partner at ACE, where he helped ACE portfolio companies with their strategy and operations.
He has sat on ACE Investment Committee since 2021.
Previously, Steve launched and built Uber in Western Switzerland from 2014 to 2016, after which he became GM in France, Switzerland, and Austria until the end of 2020.
During his 6+ years at Uber, he built, scaled, and led a 200-people team and what became one of Uber’s largest businesses globally (35,000+ drivers, several millions of users, 50+ cities).
Before Uber, Steve was a Senior Manager at AppDirect focused on European expansion.
Before that, he spent over six years in Finance, with roles in M&A at Morgan Stanley in London and Investment Management at Rothschild.
Steve sits on the Boards of Alpian, Batmaid, and Gmelius.
He holds an MSc in Communication System Engineering from EPFL and an MBA from INSEAD.
