Hartzell, CFA, is a Founder, Chief Investment Officer & Chief Compliance Officer at Sequent Asset Management LLC.
He heads up the investment operation as well as overseeing compliance for the firm.
As the CIO, he chairs the Investment Committee and is responsible for the formation of investment policy, strategy, selection and implementation for client accounts.
He has over 35 years of experience in investment management.
Prior to his founding Sequent in 2008, Mr. Hartzell was the Chief Investment Officer for Legacy Asset Management and Kanaly Trust Company.
He was also the Southwest Regional Director of Wells Fargo’s Institutional Trust Group.
He holds a BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics and Finance from the University of Mount Union, a Master of Science in Banking and Financial Services from Boston University, is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
