William Andrew Johnston

Mr. William A.
Johnston is a Portfolio Manager & Senior Research Analyst at AllianceBernstein Ltd.
He joined AB in 1998 as a research analyst, and covered European banks until 2011.
He has been Financials Sector Head for the International Growth Research team since its inception in 2002, and Financials Sector Head for the Global Growth Research team since 2009.
He has over 35 years of experience.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Johnston was an Analyst at Fleming Investment Management, where he covered UK banks, media, property and other financials.
Before that, he worked for the Industrial Bank of Japan in London as a qualified chartered surveyor on the Property Finance team, and also worked in the Investment Banking division, advising on UK property finance and investment.
Mr. Johnston holds an MA in history from the University of Cambridge and an MBA from City, University of London.
