Banks is a Managing Director at Harvest Capital Strategies LLC.
Prior to joining Harvest in October 2010, Mr. Banks was a founding partner at Huntington Allen, a boutique financial services firm focused on raising late-stage venture capital.
He was previously with Merriman Curhan Ford, where he served as President of subsidiary MCF Wealth Management and focused on the acquisition and management of independent investment advisory firms.
He also led Merriman Curhan Ford's acquisition of Panel Intelligence and was President of that subsidiary for two years.
Beforehand, he was Senior Vice President of sales and marketing for Advisor Software, a provider of portfolio analytics solutions for investment advisors, and was an Executive Vice President responsible for strategy, marketing and communications at Longitude, a derivatives trading technology platform with clients such as Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan, Bear Stearns and Swiss Re.
Early in his career, he spent several years at Kidder Peabody & Company in the institutional fixed income group.
Mr. Banks graduated with a bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
