Yanai Takashi

Mr. Takashi joined Gobi Partners in August 2006.
Prior to Gobi, he spent 8 years at NTT DoCoMo where he participated in many overseas investments and joint ventures.
From 2003 to 2005, he was seconded to the sales department of Hutchison Telecommunications (Hong Kong) Ltd.
where he successfully helped the company build a multinational sales team to offer various wireless solutions for corporate customers.
Previously he held various positions in strategic investments and corporate planning in the Global Business Department of NTT DoCoMo and acquired extensive experience in the most innovative wireless applications and services that leverage on the advanced mobile telecommunications infrastructure in Japan, China, and other Asian countries.
Born in Jilin, Mr. Takashi grew up in the Northern parts of China including Beijing and Xinjiang before he moved to Japan after graduating from high school.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in economics from Sophia University in Japan.
Yanai is an avid marathon runner and also enjoys playing basketball and squash.
Recently he started learning piano and is particularly interested in mastering Chopin's compositions in the near future.
