Alfonso Portillo

Mr. Alfonso Portillo is Senior Portfolio Manager at Charles Schwab Investment Management, Inc. He is responsible for the day-to-day co-management of Schwab’s taxable bond funds (except the Schwab Treasury Inflation Protected Securities Index Fund) and the Schwab U.S.
Aggregate Bond ETF.
His primary focus is securitized products.
Prior to joining Charles Schwab Investment in 2007, Mr. Portillo worked for over ten years at Pacific Investment Management Company, most recently as a Vice President and member of the mortgage-and asset-backed portfolio management team.
He has worked in fixed-income asset management since 1996.
Mr. Portillo earned his dual Master of Business Administration degrees from Columbia Business School and the Berkeley Haas School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Southern California.
