Amish N. Raval

Dr. Raval is an Interventional Cardiologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Cardiovascular Section of the Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
His work in the clinic focuses on coronary and peripheral artery interventions, and his research interest is in interventional MRI and novel biological and mechanical cardiovascular treatments.
Prior to his position at the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Raval worked at the NIH in Bethesda in Interventional Cardiology.
Dr. Raval has numerous awards and honors, including the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and the Intervention/Bracco Diagnostics Inc./ACIST award.
He also holds two patents, including one involving interventional devices for chronic total occlusion recanalization under MRI guidance.
Dr. Raval has conducted numerous animal and human research protocols, has co-authored many publications on cardiovascular treatments, and serves as an ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance.
