After graduation, he joined Peat Marwick Mitchell (now KPMG) where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1980.
After having worked for McNeill Pearson Ltd as Corporate Finance for small companies and Edinburgh Fund Managers as Investment Manager, he joined Walter Scott & Partners in 1983 and he was elected a Director in 1987.
At Walter Scott & Partners, he had exposure in all major investment areas.
He was employed by Kempen Capital Management (UK) from July 1999 to October 2006.
Mr. Murray has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Bachelor of Law degree from Edinburgh University.
