The firm was founded by Harry Hartford and Sarah Ketterer in 2001 as HWI Capital Management LLC. They are a subsidiary of Causeway Capital Holdings LLC. Causeway provides international, global, and emerging markets equity investment management services to institutional clients such as corporations, pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, superannuation funds, public retirement plans, Taft-Hartley pension plans, endowments and foundations, mutual funds and other collective investment vehicles, charities, private trusts and funds, wrap fee programs, and other institutions.

MIG Capital LLC (MIG) is an independent, SEC-registered investment advisor and hedge fund manager headquartered in Newport Beach, California. The firm was founded in 2003 and is principally owned by the E-Richard Merage GST 09 Trust and the Paul Merage GST 02 Trust, each of which are family trusts established by and for the benefit of certain members of the Merage family. They were formerly known as MIG Absolute Return LLC, Falcon Investment Management LLC, and Vestar Strategic LLC. MIG provides investment advisory services to MIG Funds. The investors in these MIG Funds include trusts, high net-worth individuals, charitable organizations, and other pooled investment vehicles.
