Brian Schneider

Mr. Brian M.
Schneider, CFA MBA, is a Head of North America Rates Portfolio Management & Senior Portfolio Manager at Invesco Advisers, Inc. He is responsible for analyzing and implementing investment actions in the US government securities and derivatives sectors across the IFI product line.
He works with portfolio managers with the goal of deciding how to most efficiently implement related investment ideas and hedges in a wide variety of government-specific and more broadly diversified portfolios.
He manages the trading desk through which government- and derivative-related transactions flow.
He is a member of the Rates team and is involved in decisions on duration, yield curve and Treasury Inflation Protected Securities breakeven inflation trading.
He has served as Portfolio Manager for IFI’s institutional intermediate government product since 2001.
He has extensive experience trading government securities and derivatives, and has previously traded asset-backed securities, as well as residential and commercial mortgage backed securities.
He previously headed IFI’s Stable Value team.
He entered the industry in 1987.
Mr. Schneider earned a BA degree in economics and an MBA, both from Bellarmine University (formerly Bellarmine College).
He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.
