Dean Mai

Dean is an Investment Director at Xerox Ventures.
He leads investments along the fund’s Software, IT, and Financial Services concentrations to catalyze rapidly evolving technologies in the fields of AI & ML, DevOps, digital manufacturing, security, and fintech/DeFi.
Dean brings to Xerox more than a decade of international experience in business development, strategy, and venture capital.
Previously, Dean managed global technology scouting, sourcing and diligence of strategic technology opportunities for Dyson Research & Development groups, focusing on investing in companies with a novel differentiated scientific understanding or touch engineering solutions in the fields of AI & ML, high-speed electric motors, turbomachinery and material science.
Dean also served as a Director of Emerging Technologies at the Bressler Group, partnering with emerging technology startups and SMBs on product development, technology transfer and IP strategies.
Prior to the Bressler Group, Dean served Deputy Commander of C.S.A.R Evacuation Branch of the Israeli Special Forces, where he trained and oversaw tactical combat teams in airborne search and rescue military and civilian operations, as well as holding the rank of Deputy Commander in the Israeli Air Force Special Operations Forces.
Dean holds a Bachelor of Laws with a concentration in Intellectual Property and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Reichman University, and a Master of Liberal Arts from Harvard.
