Eric Matthew Smyth

Prior to joining Kestrel in 2010.
Mr. Smyth served as Vice President, Institutional Client Service and Portfolio Specialist with Wasatch Advisors in Salt Lake City.
Prior positions included investment consultant with Watson Wyatt in Chicago (where he advised Fortune 1000 plan sponsors on a wide range of investment and risk management issues) and providing investment manager research and due diligence across public and private asset classes for Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
He began his professional career as a Commissioned Officer in the U.S.
Coast Guard, where he became a Company Commander and assumed operational commands of three vessels.
He earned an M.B.A.
from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and received his B.S.
degree in Electrical Engineering with honors from the U.S.
Coast Guard Academy.
He earned his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2005.
