Francis P. Tally

Dr. Tally has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer since January 1997.
From March 1995 to January 1997, he served as our Vice President of Research and Development.
From 1986 to February 1995, Dr. Tally served as Executive Director of Infectious Disease, Molecular Biology and Natural Products Research at the Lederle Laboratories of American Cyanamid/American Home Products, where he was responsible for worldwide clinical studies for piperacillin/tazobactam, which was registered for sales in Europe in 1992, approved by the FDA in 1993 and marketed as Zosyn.
From 1975 to 1986, he served as Senior Physician in Infectious Disease at the New England Medical Center and Associate Professor of Medicine at Tufts Medical Center.
Dr. Tally is a director of Therion Biologics Corporation, a biotechnology company.
Dr. Tally received his A.B.
in Biology from Providence College and an M.D.
from George Washington University School of Medicine.
