François Fréchette

Mr. François Fréchette, CFA, is a Senior Director of Investments at Gestion Férique.
Mr. Fréchette joined the Investment's team in 2010.
In this role, he contributes to the development and implementation of performance monitoring processes for external managers and the competition.
He brings to the organization a wide expertise in the investment field and a highly developed analytical sense.
Mr. Fréchette started his career at National Bank Trust in the Mutual Funds Valuation and Accounting Department.
From 2003 to 2005, he worked as a Financial Analyst for the Pension Plan Mutual Funds of Université Laval, where he was responsible for the performance monitoring for external managers, and later became Financial Analyst in Financial Engineering for the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec Real Estate Group.
In 2007, he shared his expertise by teaching two classes at Collège Montmorency (Appréciation du marché des valeurs mobilières and Financement d’entreprise).
At the same time, he worked as a Portfolio Management Financial Analyst and later on as a Portfolio Management Senior Advisor still for the Real Estate Subsidiary of the Caisse.
As such, he was mainly responsible for developing portfolio and risk management strategies.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a specialization in Finance from the University of Sherbrooke (2000), and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation since 2004.
