JPMorgan Private Wealth Advisors LLC (JPMPWA) is a SEC-registered investment advisor and wealth management firm headquartered in San Francisco, California. Formerly known as First Republic Investment Management, Inc., the firm was previously a wholly owned subsidiary of First Republic Bank (OTCMKTS: FRCB) (FRB). In May 2023, JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE: JPM) (JPM) acquired the substantial majority of assets and assumed the deposits and certain other liabilities of FRB. Following the acquisition, the firm became a wholly owned subsidiary of JPMorgan Chase Holdings LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of JPM. JPMPWA provides full-service personalized wealth management solutions for individuals, trusts, families, foundations, endowments, pensions, defined contribution plans, profit-sharing plans, banks, for-profit and not-for-profit institutions and other business entities.

Brighthouse Investment Advisers LLC (BIA) is a registered investment advisor headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. The firm was founded in 1994 as MetLife Advisers LLC and changed their name into Brighthouse Investment Advisers LLC in 2017. They are a subsidiary of Brighthouse Holdings LLC, which is owned by Brighthouse Financial, Inc. (NASDAQ: BHF). BIA serves as the investment adviser to participants in the asset allocation program made available exclusively under Marquis Portfolios variable annuity contracts by the issuing insurance companies. In this capacity, their clients are holders of Marquis Portfolios variable annuity contracts. As noted above, the firm also serves as investment adviser to certain investment companies registered under the 1940 Act.

On April 12, 1853, the New York State legislature passed a bill chartering the United States Trust Co. of New York with the mission of serving as manager, executor and trustee of personal and corporate funds. They opened for business in New York City in August of that year.
