Gerhard Kussel

Dr. Gerhard Kussel is a Researcher & Assistant to the Board of Directors at RWI - Leibniz-Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung e.V.
Since receiving his doctorate in 2019 from Ruhr University Bochum, Gerhard Kussel heads the staff of the Executive Board at RWI.
The staff supports the Executive Board in the strategic and administrative management of the institute.
In addition, Dr. Kussel works as a postdoc in the competence area "Environment and Resources," where he manages projects ranging from data collection and analysis to communicating the results to decision-makers and the interested public.
Until 2019 he worked as an assistant to the board and as a Ph.D.
student in "Environment and Resources." During his studies, he worked as a research assistant and later as a research associate for several chairs.
From 2007 to 2013 he studied Economics at the Ruhr-University Bochum and the Westfaelische Wilhelms-University Münster.
