Kotler, CFA, is a Founder, Chairman & Chief Investment Officer at GW&K Investment Management LLC.
Upon joining the firm in 1975, he was the architect and chief strategist of the firm’s innovative flagship municipal bond investment strategy.
He was named President in 1985 and became CEO in 2006.
Through his leadership, GW&K has expanded its expertise across asset classes to fully serve our client base.
He chairs GW&K’s weekly Investment Committee offering important macro perspectives and challenging the discussion among our investment professionals.
He is also a member of GW&K’s Executive and Management Committees.
Mr. Kotler was previously a vice president of the U.S.
Trust Co., Boston; president of Barclay Asset Management Co., an advisory affiliate of U.S.
Trust; and vice president of Studley Shupert & Co., Inc., Boston.
Early in his career, he was an investment officer with the Newton Waltham Bank.
He received a BS/BA from Babson College in 1965.
He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Boston.
