In 1973, he joined Branch Cabell & Co. as a Broker/Analyst.
It was there that he hired and developed a team of research-oriented brokers to provide growth stock ideas, sales expertise and written stock research to both individual and institutional clients.
His success as the head of the eponymous EHT Group within Branch Cabell earned him the title of Managing Director at Branch Cabell & Co. until that company’s purchase by Tucker Anthony & Co. and RBC Capital Markets.
He received his undergraduate degree from Washington & Lee University and an MBA from the University of Virginia.
