James L. Crawford

Mr. Crawford joined the firm in 1995 with 20 years experience in portfolio management in addition to 15 years in research and equity institutional sales earlier in his career.
He is a member of the investment Committee and manages a variety of institutional and individual client relationships.
Prior to joining TSBJ, he was a managing director of J.
& W.
Seligman & Co., originally serving institutional clients and, more recently, was the portfolio manager of Tri-Continental Corporation, the nation's largest closed-end investment company with assets of $2.2 billion.
He also chaired Seligman's growth and income stock selection committee.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Crawford spent four years each at Irving Trust Company and Lehman Brothers Kuhn Loeb working with individual and institutional clients.
Mr. Crawford graduated from Princeton University with an A.B.
degree in history and received an M.B.A.
from Harvard Business School in 1960.
He completed the Securities Industry Institute program at the Wharton School in 1962, and he is a member of the Bond Club of New York.
Born in New York City in 1935, he now resides in New Vernon, N.J.
