Jay Comeaux

Jay Comeaux brings to Stanford Group 13 years of experience in portfolio management as well as financial and estate planning, public relations and management.
Not only does he serve as President of Stanford Group, but he is also a member of the board for Stanford Trust Company, a domestic affiliate.
With an ability to look beyond the numbers and statistical projections, he believes a personalized approach based on relationships is what sets Stanford Group apart from other top-tier companies.
"Financial planning isn't just about money," he says.
"It's about helping people realize their dreams and aspirations, and building a trusting relationship with the client." Comeaux was born in Oklahoma City and raised in Beaumont, Texas, and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
After graduating from Louisiana State University in 1970 with a degree in marketing, he joined the Air Force, where he was commissioned as an officer and became a fighter instructor pilot.
Following his military career, Comeaux spent 10 years in the oil and gas business, then later moved to the financial services industry with Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner and Smith.
During his 10-year tenure at Merrill Lynch, he advanced to vice president, later joining Stanford Group as President.
Comeaux currently volunteers time and resources to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, one of the largest charities in Texas.
He is also a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Houston.
