Mr. Jee-Hong Kim is a Principal at IDG Ventures Korea.
Prior to joining IDG Ventures Korea, he was responsible for global business and strategy planning at Danal Co., Ltd., the leading mobile payment company in Korea.
He was instrumental in global expansion of mobile payment service which led to successful venture financing for Danal's US operations.
In addition, he has launched several innovative online services including "the Look", the first online fashion magazine based e-commerce service and "UFOTown", the first fan-celebrity text messaging service.
Straight after his master's degree, he worked as a Policy Analyst at Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD, in Paris, France.
Specifically, he has been deeply involved with setting up OECD policy and regulations for Digital Content, Anti-SPAM Initiatives, Information Security and Renewable Energy working with multinational CEOs and representatives from leading IT companies such as Google, Oracle, Yahoo and Vivendi to foster public-private partnerships.
Through his vast range of experiences in innovative IT company and international organization, he believes that he can be a valuable addition to the investment team supporting Principals in market research, due diligence and financial analysis.
Mr. Jee-Hong Kim holds BSc degree in Economics and Economic History and MSc degree in Information Systems from London School of Economics in London, U.K.
