A vast majority of his companies were in the telecommunications industry and ranged from local & long distance service to long haul fiber optics to cellular.
From the mid 1980s to 2010, Jim invested in 46 early stage companies as an individual angel.
It was his experience as individual angel investor that led to his appreciation of investing with a group and ultimately the creation of AIM Group.
Jim earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Auburn University and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas.
