Joseph Goldberg

As a Senior Associate, Mr. Goldberg researches, identifies, and evaluates new investment opportunities for Outlook Ventures.
Before joining Outlook, he served as Senior Product Marketing Manager at VMware, a subsidiary of EMC that markets server and desktop virtualization software.
In this capacity, Mr. Goldberg was responsible for the go-to-market activities for VMware Workstation including product positioning, channel strategy, and marketing programs.
Prior to VMware, Mr. Goldberg performed product marketing within a server software group of Sun Microsystems and was Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at ZANTAZ, a data storage start-up with over 100 employees.
He also was an investment professional at E*TRADE Venture Capital (renamed Arrowpath VC) with responsibilities for researching, sourcing, and executing new investments.
Prior to E*TRADE, Mr. Goldberg was an investment banker at Hambrecht & Quist (now part of JP Morgan), where he participated in M&A and capital-raising transactions for technology companies.
Mr. Goldberg holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, and an undergraduate business degree from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
He is a triplet and enjoys traveling abroad, having backpacked through over 35 countries to date.
