In addition to his role with Tall Oaks, Mr. Logan is the former Chairman, CEO and President of VISX, Inc. He came to VISX in 1994, and retired in 2001.
Previous positions included Chairman and CEO of Insmed Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 1991 to 1994; Principal at McManis Associates from 1988 to 1991; Executive VP, COO and member of the Board of Directors of Bausch & Lomb from 1981 to 1985; Group President at Becton, Dickinson & Co. from 1975 to 1981; and senior management positions at Wyeth, Inc., including President & General Manager of Wyeth Mexico from 1967 to 1975.
Mr. Logan currently serves on the board of directors of two public companies: Abgenix, Inc., Freemont, CA, (since 1997) where he chairs the Compensation Committee and is a member of the Audit Committee.
VIVUS, Inc., Mountain View, CA (since 1999) where he chairs the Audit Committee and is a member of the Compensation Committee.
Previous public boards: Somnus Medical Technologies, Inc, Sunnyvale, CA (Acquired); Align Technology, Inc., Santa Clara, CA; Imagyn Medical Technologies, Inc., Laguna Niguel, CA (Acquired); Bausch & Lomb, Rochester, NY.
He was a pilot with the US Marine Corps.
