Masanori Morishita

MBK Co. Ltd. (Private Equity) (MBK-PE) is the private equity division of the Tokyo-headquartered parent firm, MBK Co., Ltd. (OSA: 3121), which invests in real estate-based assets and operates funds, venture capital funds and real estate. They also seek to develop overseas projects and broaden their scope of services through a public offering of stock in Japan. Formerly known as Asset Investors Co. Ltd. , they changed their name in 2009 in keeping with management's vision to bridge merchant banking between Japan and China and maximize the synergy between the two countries. The parent firm traces their history to 1947 with the founding of the West Japan Spinning and Weaving Co., Ltd. In 2002, after complete withdrawal from the spinning business, the firm then changed their name in 2003 to Asset Investors Co., Ltd. Their corporate goal is to become an investment firm and merchant bank. They work closely with Itochu Corporation, a strategic partner.
