Weir is Chief Risk Officer at BlueCrest Capital Management (UK) LLP.
He was previously employed as Head of Risk & Control by NewSmith Asset Management LLP for four years where he implemented risk reporting and controls for all of the hedge funds and long-only businesses.
Mr. Weir also served as Head of Risk & Control at Brevan Howard Asset Management for two years, where he was responsible for setting up risk reporting and control infrastructure.
He moved to Brevan Howard from Credit Suisse First Boston where he was responsible for risk management of the global interest rate products and European money market divisions.
