Matthew Jed Ziffer

Mr. Matthew J.
Ziffer is a Portfolio Manager & Partner at One William Street Capital Management LP.
He leads distressed residential whole loan trading and credit impaired securities trading.
In addition, he is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee, and manages the firm’s loan servicing relationships, due diligence on vendors as well as its loan-level surveillance efforts.
In that capacity, he is responsible for the acquisition, management and disposition of distressed loans and securities.
Prior to joining OWS, Mr. Ziffer was Head of the Residential Non-Performing and Scratch & Dent Mortgage Trading Desk at Lehman Brothers.
Previously, he was an Assistant Vice President in the asset-backed securities group of Deutsche Bank, focusing on the financing of various assets including non-performing residential mortgage loans.
He began his career in the capital markets group of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft.
Mr. Ziffer received a B.A.
from the University of Maryland and a J.D.
magna cum laude, from New York Law School.
