Mr. Matthew S.
Olver is Senior Vice President & Wealth Advisor at Spero-Smith Investment Advisers, Inc. He directs the personalized investment strategies, wealth management, and financial planning consulting services for individual investors, business owners, retirement plans, endowments, and institutions who are clients of Spero-Smith Investment Advisers.
He joined Spero-Smith in 1997 as an Assistant Financial Planner, supporting Karen Spero and the financial planning team with research and preparation of financial plans, specializing in education funding and retirement planning.
Mr. Olver soon added responsibilities as a trader, an investment analyst with a focus on mutual fund selection and monitoring for client portfolios and 401(k) plans, and as an assistant portfolio manager.
In 2001, he was promoted to Portfolio Manager, responsible for the development and implementation of individual client investment strategies.
He continued to serve on the firm’s financial planning team and provide fund research, analysis and reporting to the firm’s investment group and 401(k) plan clients.
He was promoted to Senior Vice President and Wealth Advisor in 2009.
Mr. Olver received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, magna cum laude, from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio.
He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER and a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors and the Financial Planning Association.
He is also a member of The Estate Planning Council of Cleveland.
