Formerly known as Kleinwort Benson Bank Ltd., the firm is headquartered in London. The firm traces their origins when it was founded in 1961 as Kleinwort Sons & Co and Robert Benson & Co. merged. In 1995, Dresdner Bank AG acquired the Kleinwort Benson group.
