The firm is a direct subsidiary of Man Investments USA Holdings, Inc. and their ultimate parent is UK-based Man Group Plc. The firm was formerly known as FRM Americas LLC. On May 21, 2012, Man Group Plc announced that it had agreed to acquire the entire issued share capital of FRM Holdings Ltd., the parent company of FRM Americas LLC. On July 17, 2012, Man Group Plc completed the acquisition As a result, FRM Americas LLC shared offices with Man Investments (USA) LLC and the combined multi-manager business was re-branded and now operates under the FRM brand. FRM Americas withdrew their registration as an investment adviser from the SEC on December 4, 2012 and from the CFTC as a Commodity Trading Advisor on November 7, 2012. Man Investments (USA) LLC's name was changed to FRM Investments (USA) LLC on August 7, 2012.
