Prior to and as a result of this acquisition, the firm changed its name from Legg Mason Investment Counsel LLC to 1919 Investment Counsel LLC. 1919ic provides comprehensive investment counsel services to both individual and institutional clients, and financial planning and family office services to individual clients.
