Thong Nguyen

Dr. Thong H.
Nguyen is a Chief Investment Officer & Portfolio Manager at Olympiad Research LP.
He is also Co-Founder of Keebeck Alpha.
He has over 20 years of trading and investment experience covering a wide range of strategies including global macro, equity market neutral, high frequency, and credit.
Previously, Dr. Nguyen managed the quantitative investment team at Spring Creek Capital where he was principally responsible for the group’s vision and strategic development, building and leading the team, and establishing the collaborative culture and continuous research agenda that were essential to their success.
Prior to SCC, he was a Portfolio Manager at Verition Fund Management where he managed short-term statistical arbitrage strategies from 2012 to 2015.
Prior to Verition, he was at Black Forest Trading, a proprietary high frequency trading firm which traded equities and futures.
From 2004 to 2009, he was a member of the quantitative trading and systematic market-making groups at Credit Suisse where he managed global macro, equity market neutral, and arbitrage strategies.
Earlier in his career, he was at Banc of America Securities and AlphaSimplex as a quantitative researcher.
Dr. Nguyen holds a Doctorate in Econometrics from Yale University.
