Timothy F. McCarthy

Mr. Timothy F.
McCarthy is Chairman & Chief Executive Officer at Nikko Asset Management Co. Ltd.
He joined Nikko AM in March 2004.
From 1998 to 2002, he served as Chairman of Korea's Good Morning Securities, where a reorganization of operations.
Mr. McCarthy also served as President of Charles Schwab & Co., where he launched Schwab's online brokerage strategy and designed its OneSource fund platform.
Previously, Mr. McCarthy was CEO of Hong Kong-based Jardine Fleming Unit Trust.
He has also worked with Fidelity, where he launched a multifund platform for banks and independent brokers, and Merrill Lynch.
He earned his B.A.
with majors in international relations and economics at the University of California, Davis, and his MBA from Harvard University, where he was a Baker Scholar.
He has authored a book which was published in Japanese: Wake up to the Sense of Money, Japanese, which was on Japan's bestseller list and was selected as book of the month on Amazon.co.jp.
