ABBOTT MICHAEL

Michael is a Managing Director at Terroir Capital.
Michael has been in the financial services industry for 20 years.
His career started at Swiss Bank Corporation where he worked from 1990-1996 in London and Chicago in the Capital Markets and Derivatives trading area.
From 1996-2002 Michael held various leadership roles in the equities division of Goldman Sachs in New York.
In 2003, he successfully launched his own Foreign Exchange Macro hedge fund, with three other partners.
After selling his equity stake in that business in 2006, Michael became CEO of a large asset management business that invests in hedge funds, where he joined three former senior Goldman Sachs partners who founded the firm.
Michael has most recently been the Chief Investment Officer at Cornell University.
Michael received his Bachelor of Laws degree at Kings College, and prior to that was an Officer in London’s Metropolitan Police force for 4 years.
He has been an avid wine collector and trader for over the past two decades.
