Amaka Anku

Ms. Amaka Anku is a Practice Head of Africa at Eurasia Group Ltd.
As head of the firm's Africa practice, she helps clients understand the interaction of politics, policy, and markets across sub-Saharan Africa.
She also leads the firm's coverage of Nigeria, Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, and Senegal, identifies regional trends, and analyzes the evolution of political dynamics in the region's key markets.
Ms. Anku has on-the-ground experience working across the African continent with organizations such as Africare, the African Development Bank, the International Crisis Group, and the International Rescue Committee.
From 2011 to 2015, she practiced law in the international arbitration and litigation group of global law firm Shearman & Sterling, LLP, where she represented multinational corporations in multimillion-dollar, cross-border disputes throughout the region.
Ms. Anku holds a bachelor's degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and a doctor of law degree from Harvard Law School.
