He is a nationally recognized aviation industry leader and has more than 40 years of experience including 12 years as General Manager of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) and nearly five years as the General Manager of Newark International Airport (EWR).
Mr. DeCosta currently serves as the principal of DeCosta Consulting, LLC, a consulting firm serving the aviation industry.
Mr. DeCosta previously served on the boards of directors of two of the world’s leading aviation organizations, Airports Council International (ACI-NA & ACI-World) and the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE).
He earned the Accredited Airport Executive designation from AAAE.
Mr. DeCosta recently served as Vice Chair of ACI-NA’s World Business Partners Board and Vice Chair of the board of the Airports Consultants Council (ACC).
He is currently a member of the steering committee of AAAE’s Corporate Committee.
Mr. DeCosta also serves on several aviation-focused corporate boards including Corsair portfolio company Vantage Airport Group.
Mr. DeCosta holds a B.A.
in Physics from Queens College and earned his J.D.
from New York Law School.
He served as an attorney and human resources manager for the Port Authority of NY and NJ as well as Chief of Staff in the New York City Human Resources Administration.
Mr. DeCosta also attended Harvard’s Kennedy School program for state and local officials.
