Bill McMahon

Mr. William P.
McMahon is a Managing Director & Chief Investment Officer at Charles Schwab Investment Advisory, Inc. He is Senior Vice President and a member of the Portfolio Management Team for the ThomasPartners Strategies.
As Chief Investment Officer, he is responsible for investment management, research, and portfolio construction.
He has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Mr. McMahon co-founded ThomasPartners, Inc. in 2001 with Greg Thomas and served as Partner of the firm until its acquisition by The Charles Schwab Corporation in 2012 and subsequent merger with Charles Schwab Investment Advisory in April 2018.
He begin his career at State Street Corporation and spent the latter half of his time at State Street with State Street Global Advisors in its asset management division.
Prior to ThomasPartners,, he was an Analyst for an advisory firm.
He holds a B.A.
in Economics from Stonehill College, an MBA from Bentley College and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
