Mr. Robert H.
Cheney is a Senior Investment Professional at Alta Capital Management LLC.
He joined Alta in 2009 through the strategic acquisition of his Salt Lake City-based investment firm Smoot, Miller, Cheney & Co. He brings over 30 years of investment management experience to Alta’s investment and research committee.
During his years with SMC, Mr. Cheney served as executive Vice-President of Equity Research with a keen emphasis on growth companies trading at attractive valuations.
Prior to SMC, he worked in Zions First National Bank’s investment division and Tracy Collins Bank & Trust as an investment officer.
He graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science degree.
He is a past president of the Salt Lake Society of Financial Analysts.
