The firm does business as Scotia Global Asset Management and is a subsidiary of Bank of Nova Scotia (NYSE, TSX: BNS). In 2013, another BNS subsidiary, GCIC Ltd. underwent an internal consolidation and transferred its asset management business to 1832 AM.
